Blokes Make Donation

Posted 5/12/2019

The men of Blokes Notes are proud supporters of Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services. Each year they collect donations from groups wanting to hear our unsurpassed (in Port Macquarie at least) male harmonies and donate 100% of them to this service at the end of the year.

2019 has been a good year in this respect and the Blokes were pleased to be able to present Liberty with a cheque for $2000 to help them continue the wonderful work they do in the community.

Once again Port Macquarie held the annual Coastal Walk Against Domestic Violence and the Blokes were proud to be there to spur the walkers on their way. The Blokes have been supporting Liberty Domestic Violence Services for years now and love giving some musical encouragement to the sweating walkers as they make their way from Tacking Point Lighthouse to the centre of Port Macquarie. We even made it onto the evening news; albeit without sound!

Blokes Sing Forster

Posted 30/11/2019

The Blokes traveled south so join forces with the Green Cathedral Choir, U3A Choir from Forster and the Coomba Singers for a day of song. After a fun and festive workshop by the wonderful as always Leanne Johnson, there was a concert to be heard, each choir singing a few of their own special numbers before joining together to sing the pieces we'd spent the morning learning together. A great day to join with others who love to sing.
